Councilman Bianco disclosed that three people have failed to submit their required 2012 annual financial disclosure forms that were due May 15, 2012.
The Board appointed a librarian and members of several volunteer boards, including the Zoning Board.
3. Speeding issues in Jefferson Valley
The Board rejected as counterproductive the request for speed bumps on East Main Street at Perry Street but will explore other traffic calming measures.
4. Hallocks Mill sewers
Supervisor Grace said his partial diversion plan would result in a 16% drop in value for the Hallocks Mill sewer district resulting in higher taxes. He said the Town was making “significant progress” on his partial diversion plan but that he could not discuss the progress in public.
In a 3-2 vote, with Supervisor Grace and Councilman Murphy voting no, the Board declined to advertise a public hearing on an application from the Winery for a wetlands permit so that it could create additional parking. Brendan Tully, co-chairman of the Democratic Town Committee, asked Supervisor Grace to recuse himself from future votes dealing with the Winery because of what he called “potential conflicts.”
6. Section 8 program
In a 2-3 vote, with Councilmen Patel and Paganelli voting yes, the Board declined to waive the fees the Town charges the Section 8 program for rent, utilities and the services of the town attorney.
