Decorate Egg Contest

Date/Time: Friday, March 1st 8:30 am – Tuesday, March 19th 3:00 pm
Location: 176 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
Eligibility: For children aged 3 – 3rd grade
Deadline: Tuesday, March 19th at 3:00 pm
Details: Participants must use this Egg Outline on the attached flyer. Participation ribbons will be awarded to all participants. Ribbons will be awarded to 1st , 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each age group which will be presented at Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23rd.

Teen Center First Fridays Cafe Open Mic

Date/Time: Friday, March 1st at 6:30 pm
Location: Yorktown Community & Cultural Center, Senior Nutrition Room, 1974 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights

Westchester Mother’s Comfort Project

Date/Time: Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Fabric Mart, 2019 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights
Details: Dancing for Animals and Rational Animal have joined forces to create the Westchester chapter of Rational Animal’s Mother’s Comfort Project. This project brings volunteers together for sewing sessions to create comfortable beds for shelter animals. We are looking for sewing volunteers! You do not have to come for the whole day, but we would love it if you did! If interested in having fun and helping shelter animals, please contact Liz Peterson at kjg2@msn.com or 914-737-2228.

Earring Making Workshop

Date/Time: Saturday, March 2nd at Noon
Location: John C. Hart Memorial Library, 1130 Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588
Details: Make earrings for yourself and for a Battered Women’s Shelter. Optional: Bring any old bead jewelry that you can recycle into earrings! If you have any jewelry making tools, bring them along too. For Adults & Teens, please register for this program. The Programs are FREE and open to the public. Yorktown Leos and Elks Pancake Breakfast with SpongeBob

Date/Time: Sunday, March 3rd from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: Elks 2324, 590 Waverly Road, Yorktown Heights
Details: The Yorktown Leos and Elks are sponsoring a pancake breakfast with Spongebob and friends on Sunday, March 3rd from 8:30 am to Noon at the Elks Lodge, located at 590 Waverly Road, Yorktown Heights. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for kids, kids under 3 years old eat for free. Contact president@­yorkto­wnleos.­org.

Hart Library Sunday Concert Series – Mary Mancini and Mario Tacca

Details: Mary Mancini and Mario Tacca pay the Hart Library another visit to share their beautiful and electrifying talent with us. This time they will focus on Italian Love Songs and Arias.
