Celebrating the release of his acclaimed debut CD “Metaphors”, Percussionist and Composer John Arrucci appears at the Hebrew Institute with his Quartet. His rich harmonic language provides fertile ground for lyrical improvisation. The quartet will perform works from “Metaphors” as well as additional Arrucci compositions. Arrucci’s work is featured on more than 70 recordings, scores for feature films and music for television. He has recorded and/or performed with Michael Brecker, John Patittucci, Gil Goldstein, Richard Bona, Mariah Carey, David Byrne and many others. “Arrucci proves to be a percussionist of rare versatility”.
