This time I’ll remember to attach the flyer and add that If you’d like to donate any items for silent auction, please deliver to Ted, Drew or Gina at the Beanrunner. If you know of any restaurants or others that want to donate, please have them call me at 914- 424- 1405.

As some of you know, I endeavored to put together a benefit for Hurricane Sandy relief. As this came together, the unfortunate tragedy at the Sandy Hook school in Newtown happened. This could not be ignored.
Conversations happened, ideas popped, and this morphed into an event called “Help 2Sandy’s”. The feeling is that while many have helped, these people still need support.
I have secured The Bean Runner Cafe’ in Peekskill NY (201 South Division St., 914- 737 – 1701) on
Sunday, February 17 from 1PM to (at least?!) 9PM
for what I hope will be a major event.
Think of this along the lines of a telethon (without the ongoing phone calls). On that day, there will be a wall to wall diverse blend of music- the ever growing list includes world renowned and great players from closer to home including John Abercrombie, , Lawrence Anthony, John Basile, Les Bloome, John Castleman, Dean Friedman and the South St. Fusion Project, Derrick James, Sanjra Livingston, Guy Lowe, Andy Polay, Bruce Pollack, Waldron Ricks, Cheryl Lynn Skinner, The Temple Dudes, Mark Tonelli, T-Ray and the Smoking Section, Susan Wright, and more.
There will be raffles, silent auctions, t-shirts for sale, crafts to keep the kiddies happy, participating restaurants will donate part of their take that day, and more- anything to make money for these two worthy causes.
I hope that many of you can come, can donate, and can spread the word (see attached flyer and please print and hang it everywhere!) $10.00 gets you in and allows multiple visits throughout the event. Our slogan is:
REMEMBER AND REBUILD
So please come and help. As I will do many times, I want to thank all that donated and will donate their time and energy to make this benefit a success.
