Hello Yorktown Upcoming Events!

Winter Storm Warning

Please stay safe, dry, and warm this afternoon into tomorrow morning! Yorktown Officials have already readied equipment and positioned generators at Town facilities should they be needed. The Town is asking residents to avoid travel late Friday into Saturday if not absolutely necessary. Teatown’s Hudson River EagleFest

Date/Time: Due to Snowstorm postponed to Sunday, February 10th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Croton Point Park, Croton-on-Hudson, NY
Details: Did you know that over 150 bald eagles spend the winter along Hudson Valley waterways? And what better way is there to celebrate this winter visit than at Teatown’s Hudson River EagleFest℠ 2013!

Yorktown High School Bands Valentine’s Swing Dance and Concert

Date/Time: Saturday, February 9th from 7:00 pm – 10:30 pm
Location: Yorktown High School Gym, 2727 Crompond Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
Details: There will be a dance lesson provided by professional swing dancers from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., and then all are invited to show off their new moves from 8:00 – 10:30 p.m. for the dance and concert. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is $5 for students and senior citizens and $8 for adults. For more information call 914-243-8050 x22249.

Library Theater – “God of Carnage”

Date/Time: Sunday, February 10th at 2:00 pm
Location: John C. Hart Memorial Library, 1130 Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588
Details: An M&M Production by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, Winner of the 2009 Tony Award. A tense comedy-drama caught between civilized surface and savage instinct. A playground altercation between 11 year-old boys brings together two sets of parents for a meeting. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their principles in tatters. Date/Time: Friday, February 15th from 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Location: Yorktown Community & Cultural Center, 1974 Commerce Street, Senior Nutrition Center (next to Yorktown Stage)
