2013 CANDIDATE ENDORSEMENTS

YORKTOWN, NY – With the 2013 election season heating up, the Yorktown Republican Town Committee is preparing to name its official slate of candidates for November. During its monthly meeting, tomorrow evening, the Committee plans to announce its first series of endorsements.

The first set of candidates will include nominees for the offices of County Legislator, Town Supervisor and Town Justice. According to Republican Town Chairwoman Serafina Mastro, the candidates have earned the Committee’s endorsement by their firm commitment to paving the way for new businesses to open in Yorktown, delivering a historic local property tax cut and saving town taxpayers millions through increased local government and courthouse efficiencies and new taxpayer-friendly contracts.

Interviews for other offices will be conducted publicly in March, with further endorsements by the Committee to follow in April. The details for TOMORROW’s event are as follows:
