Dec. 14, 2012 UTY meeting

Dear members:
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

At our UTY meeting held Nov. 14, 2012 we had elections for officers. Elected Ed Ciffone President, Nick Ditomaso Vice – President, Dan Lefkowitz Treasurer, no secretary (duties are recording the mimutes of each meeting). Please volunteer we can use the help.

Our discussion on joining the Chamber Of Commerece, the members told me first to find out what would be the benefits of joining. I will ask Joe V. the Chamber’s president that question, he is one of our members and will receive this email.. I was in favor of joining for $110.00 to expand our network by interconnecting both organizations. We now have a town and school district committees. Please let me know if you have some time to work with one of these committees.

On Costco I would like to know if you are fore or against them coming to Yorktown. The members at the meeting had their own opinions both fore and against for many good reasons.

On Dec.5, at town hall there will be a town budget meeting starting at 7:00PM, be there we need your support. Looks like a decrease for everyone in Yorktown. Last night I found out there are raise increases for Town Board members; not if the UTY has any to say about that at the budget hearing.

The new budget books should be out soon. I will get one as soon as they are printed. You also should get one if you are going to speak at the public hearing get a copy at town hall.

Dues are only $10.00 per year. I have started removing the members that have not paid for years.
Thank You,
Ed Ciffone
