ELEANOR’S LEGACY ENDORSES SANDY GALEF FOR NYS ASSEMBLY
Thursday, October 18, 2012 (New York City) – The Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee today announced its endorsement of Sandy Galef, Democratic candidate for the 95th New York State Assembly District. Founded in 2001 by former New York State Democratic Committee Chair Judith Hope, Eleanor’s Legacy recruits, trains, and funds a new generation of pro-choice Democratic women leaders across New York State.
“Eleanor’s Legacy is proud to endorse Sandy Galef for re-election to the New York State Assembly. When women run, women win. And when Sandy wins, the people of Putnam and Westchester Counties win.” said Judith Hope, President of Eleanor’s Legacy. “At Eleanor’s Legacy, we are working every day to build a new generation of progressive women leaders. Now more than ever, we need leaders like Sandy Galef in Albany. With Sandy’s record of bipartisan leadership and her advocacy for property tax relief, cutting the costs of government, and protecting open space, Sandy understands the needs of the families, the towns, and the small businesses of the 95th Assembly District. Sandy is ready to go to back to Albany and continue her work on the issues that matter most to the people of Putnam and Westchester Counties.”
