1. Traffic lights: The state DOT has agreed to keep a permanent light at the intersection of Routes 100 & 134, and the Board requested the DOT to make permanent the temporary light at the intersection of Routes 118 & 129.
2. Mohegan Lake Outlet: The Highway Department has corrected problems at the Route 6 culvert that was blocking the lake outlet, as well as a second culvert where a beaver dam was causing flooding for some homeowners.
3. Sewers: Supervisor Grace said he was pursuing a plan to divert some of the Hallocks Mill sewage to Peekskill in order to open up capacity at the Town’s Greenwood Street sewer plant for new commercial rateables and enable some unsewered Hallocks Mill district homeowners to hook up to the plant.
4. Public Hearing on amended special permit for Sanctuary Golf Course (Route 118)
The hearing was adjourned on this request to amend a 13 year old permit for this still to be completed project. Area homeowners and the Yorktown Land Trust expressed concerns about the delay and certain aspects of the plan.
5 Tax certiorari settlements
The Board approved settlements for the Yorktown Business Center, 1661 Front Street, Coach N Four, 620 East Main Street, and Jefferson Village Condos 2, 7, 5 and 11. The resolutions did not state the amount of the tax refunds that either the Town or school districts will have to pay.
