YHS Music Boosters Gigantic Tag Sale

Date/Time: Saturday, October 13th from 9:00am – 2:00pm
Location: Yorktown High School Cafeteria, 2727 Crompond Road Yorktown Heights, New York 10598
Details: It’s the 6th Annual YHS Music Boosters Tag Sale. This is no ordinary tag sale—dozens of families contribute a plethora of items, making this a truly gigantic tag sale! Delectable baked goods will also be available. Admission is free. Donations will be accepted on Friday, Oct. 12 from 3 to 8 p.m. and can be brought to the YHS Band Room. Cary Brown Jazz Concert

Date/Time: Sunday, Oct 14th at 3:00pm

Details: The church will kick-off it’s twelfth annual Sunday Afternoon Concert Series with an afternoon of jazz with the Cary Brown Trio.

Yorktown Farmer’s Market

Location: On the field behind the Yorktown Firehouse, 1916 Commerce Street, use market entrance on Veterans Road only.
Hours: 9am – 2pm every Saturday thru 10/27
Parking: On the field
Details: Vendors selling fruits and vegetables, baked goods, fresh pasta and Italian specialties, gluten-free, honey, goat cheese, pickles, fair trade items, meats, certified organics, and more!
COW: This week’s Charity of the Week is the Yorktown Community Nursery School, located at 247 Veterans Road, Yorktown Heights.

Earring Making Workshop

Date/Time: Wednesday, Oct 17th at 6:00pm
Location: John C. Hart Memorial Library, 1130 Main Street, Shrub Oak, NY 10588
Details: Make earrings for yourself and for a Battered Women’s Shelter. Optional: Bring any old bead jewelry that you can recycle into earrings! If you have any jewelry making tools, bring them along too. For Adults & Teens, program limited to 30 participants. Please register for this program. The Programs are FREE and open to the public. Domestic Violence Awareness Month Candlelight Vigil
