Meeting highlights. For summaries of all 12 other agenda items, visit ciyinfo.org

1. YCCC rental rates for 2013
The Board agreed to a 3% increase in rental rates for next year for all tenants.

2. Sewer truck bids/fleet maintenance issues
The Board reviewed bids for two new trucks for the sewer department and learned that an existing department truck was no longer safe and should be taken out of service. No decision was made on whether to purchase one or two trucks. Vehicle maintenance needs were also discussed.

3. Financial Services Advice Solicitation
The Board heard a pitch from town resident Denise Farrell of Environmental Capital to serve as the Town’s financial advisor. She suggested converting $7.4 million of short term borrowing into long term bonds.

4. Capital projects
The Board agreed to make funds available for the next phase of the mandated Sparkle Lake dam study and for additional engineering studies for the repair of the Greenwood Street bridge. There was a brief discussion about bonding for $6 million for infrastructure projects that the Supervisor plans to make public.

5. Microfiching town records
Rather than continue to use outdated microfiche technology for archiving records, the Town will review a possible RFP for laser fiche services.

6. Emergency Generators for YCCC and Town Hall
The Board agreed on the size for the emergency natural gas generators and to proceed with going out to bid for the generators. As part of the plan, the Town will ask Con Ed to extend gas service to Town Hall and the Town will switch from oil to natural gas to heat Town Hall.

7. Granite Knolls fields
The Board agreed to sign a $6,200 contract with All County Contracting NY of Croton-on-Hudson to complete the work at the field and remove stumps, roots, re-grade, fine rake and level and seed the field.

Closed session
The Board went into closed session to discuss the “comptroller position.”

Special note: The CIY observer learned on Wednesday that the Board went back into open session after the closed discussion relating to the comptroller position and that the Board approved several resolutions, copies of which were not immediately available.
